: Bummer on the two draw. Don't despair!! Keep working on it. It will happen. Try this mental image that has worked for me. Relax for a few minutes taking SLOW deep breaths with no harp in your mouth. Try to imagine that the air that you are breathing is connected to a string that is anchored in the pit of your stomach. The only way to get air in is to pull it in from your stomach. Once you are comfortable with that, put the harp in your mouth and, using the above breathing technique, SLOWLY try to get your 2 draw to sound good. Don't worry about volume at first. Volume will come later. Good luck! Have fun!
Thanks so much Ron,
Very kind of you to respond. I have a real shortage of help here in Korea. Thank you.
I guess that my message wasn't so clear. The harps that I buy here ( Lee Oskar) have no sound at all in 2 draw straight out of the box. I don't know if it's a flaw in the manufacture. I've change reeds so many times the financial pain is getting to me. How do I go about adjusting a reed for sound? I've read the paper that comes with new reeds without good results. Thanks for your help.
