Susan-

You're cleaning practice sounds like much more fun, but I was just referring to warm water, soap (if desired) and an old toothbrush. When you take Lee Oskars apart be sure to tighten all the screws snuggly. Too tight can cause leaks.

Good luck,
Stan

: What I like to do to clean mine (they are all Lee Oskars, and therefore plastic ) is use alchohol, whiskey, gin, vodka, rum, it all works. You want something flavorless, so vodka works well. Absolut Mandarin is nice, but stay away from Absolut Peppar, that was my first mistake. If you are looking to clean them economically, you can buy a pint of shoddy whiskey for five bucks. For minors, try listerine instead of liquor. Plastic harmonicas are also dishwasher safe, at least in my experience. Don't try it with wood, though because it will swell up, and the comb will bulge out and cut up your lips. Also, try not to play right after you eat or drink something, or with anything other than sugarless gum in your mouth.
