Let's see if I can help you out a bit here. I'm afraid I can't give you any advice based on my own experiences here, simply because my first harp didn't have neither plastic or wooden comb. It was a Suzuki harp with a metal comb. -But let's get back to business...

If you have the cash and you're extremely curious on the plastic harp, I'd say go for it! But then again... My advice is to stick to your Hohner blues harp! A very good friend of mine once started out with the exact same kind of harp that you're using. Today he's one of the greatest harp-players in Europe! Some people may find it easier to learn on plastic harps, but there's no reason why you shouldn't learn the exact same things on a wooden comb harp. I don't believe it's easier learning advanced techniques on a plastic comb harp. I learned'em all on wood!
