Not to familiar w/ J. Geils but I heard a song years ago saying something about "hard driving man" or something. Is that the song? Anyway, the harp was fantastic. It sounds like he is switching between holes up on the high end and doing some "syllable" like tuh-duh-kuh stuff. That's about all I can say. Sorry if I'm totally off base.
: I am in the process of transposing the classic harp jam, Whammer Jammer by Magic Dick-J Geils Band. I have hit a road block. The second note of the song which is a long high note, is giving me trouble. I don't know what he's playing. It's a very dramatic and repeated note. It sounds like a high (like hole 7 or 8) bend which is a "blow bend". I'd be happy to share this work with anyone, but send me anything you may have on it. It is played on an "A" harp and alot of it is effects from a great mic and amp combo. Thanks
