Hey Nick,
During my travels with Uncle Sam (U.S.Navy), my last overseas posting was at RAF Edzell (which closed down back in late 1997). While there, I acquired some great CD's, many which were not available in the U.S.ofA.
At John Menzies, I picked up an absolutely killer collection of some powerful harmonica recordings titled "Blues Harp Boogie. 25 Years of Blues Harmonica" for about six quid. I don't know why the title should make any mention of 25 years of blues harmonica. I believe that the collection includes @40 years of recordings. "Blues Harp Boogie-25 Years of Blues Harmonica" features 22 selections on a 74:37 CD. I promise you that you won't get bore listening. If you find this CD (or cassette tape) at any shop, grab it (and by all means, pay for it...or ask the staff to reserve it for you).
Wishing you success in your endeavors,
Patrick
