: : Geez, I am full of questions today! I just finished a

: Checkout the Gathier Home Coming show and the harp player on it, Buddy Greene. He has a web site and is a bad mother for ya, when it comes to Gospel Harmonica, It dont get no better...

If you wish to play some gospel music with a harmonica and guitar, but are searching for some material, try the hymnal from your church. If reading music is a problem (and for once, I will spare you my advice concerning learning how to read standard music notation), ask the accompanist to help you work on the melody. If you need help figuring out the chord changes, check out the accompanist edition, but if the accompanist's edition doesn't have the chord changes, then ask the accompanist.
If I'm playing melodic harmonica, I enjoy playing with a piano accompaniment.

Psalm 66
1 Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands:
2 Sing forth honour of his name: make his praise glorious.

There are other references to music in scripture.
So as you research the music, check out the scriptural passages as well.

Wishing you success in all your endeavors.
Patrick
