: : Hi everyone
: : I've just started trying to bend notes and i'm not having much success. I've read thru the bending section and it says the bent note is supposed to go down in pitch, but i keep getting a note higher in pitch. And it says that some ppl may take forever to learn how to bend, i think i'm one of them.
: : Anyone has some tips for me???
: : thanks!!!
: There is a goldmine of information, but you'll need to start digging. Great advice can be found on the web. It would not be such a bad idea to talk with other players, either on the web...or better yet, face to face. Jon Gindick is a highly accomplished harmonica player and instructor. He has published some books with a slightly unorthodox but effective approach to music instruction and especially on harmonica technique. He's also quite approachable and unlike many, he does answer his e-mails.
: There are other books on harmonica technique, which I would also recommend, but since you are presently concerned with learning how to bend notes, I think that Jon Gindick would probably provide your best avenue for instruction.
KEEP AT IT!
IT TOOK ME CLOSE TO A YEAR BEFORE I COULD BENT A NOTE. BUT I ALSO PRACTICED ONECE AND A WHILE AT FIRST
