I agree with your assesment of the Gaithers shows and the harmonica player (Buddy Greene?). Each show I see I buy the CD and play along with those songs that I can - melodies only as you may recall. The harmonica MAN on that show is truely out of this world. As you state... a man who knows when not to play. Unfortunately, I am not humble enough to be able to do that....yet. I really do appreciate that the talk on this site honestly moves thru all genre's of music.
: IMHO life is too short for most television, but I really enjoy the Gathier Homecoming shows. I know, Blues and Religon, a fellow named Buddy Greene plays some of the sweetest harmonica this side of heaven on that show. You want to see a guy who knows when not to play and who has more taste and style than one person deserves, check him out. No its not the Blues, but its done right.
