I've been playing the harp for a little over a year and
have learned learned quite a bit technique and even a
little music theory. I have been playing alot of open
mics and noticed that 99% of the time I am improvising
and just jamming along with the music. It usually sounds
pretty good providing I use the right harp. I'd really
like to learn the chords to alot of my favorite blues
and rock songs so I can actually play "with" the band
and not just the solos. I was wondering if anyone knew
an effective way of committing songs to memory. Its difficult to
do without frequent access to other musicians. Free time
is also somewhat scarce when you're trying to pay a mortgage.
Any tips are greatly appreciated!
