The reed plates are recessed into the plastic body and I think you have to go with Buschman plates. Why would you buy a Set of Bushmans without finding this out first? Ive read both good and bad about these harps, I owned one and gave it away to a kid who was hurting for a harp and low on dough. Please let us know how you make out with your Bushmans..Good Luck..
