I had that same problem, its not a natural feeling holding a harp at first, it just takes time getting use to it. I had every intention of playing amplified so I would practice holding a pop can with the top and bottom cut out. This was about the same diameter as my mic and sounded kinda cool. I could practice effects and hear the results. Ive heard of players using plastic glasses, same effect. This will tell you how good a cup youre getting. Hope this is of some help, hang in there. Bluz
