: : I recently bought a Big River (G) for some unknown reason....guess I had too much money in my pocket.
: : It does not seem that this key is used much in blues....so, what key should I get? Already have a Special 20 (C).
: You can't go wrong with an A harp (for the key of E), and a D is frequently used as well (A). Try an F for some great tunes in C. I've found Special 20s are great. The plastic combs won't tear up your mouth or swell and they last a good while.
I would concur with what has been written and add that I use my G harp all the time. So don't think that you wasted your money because if you stick with the harp you'll get your money's worth out of each key you purchase.
For blues, it seems I use my A harps the most, followed by C, Bb, and D. G and F are others that get used a lot.
