I have a marine band too. It was given to me by my father on occasional loans during my teen years, and I played folk styles on it, but had never gotten cross harp style at that time. I later returned his harp, and got a cheap pocket pal and learned cross harp. Now afret playing for many years (I am 34 now), he gave me the marine band at christmas time last month. What a memory that harp is! I cannot play blues on it very well, compared to my pro harp, but it is an heirloom, and still sits in its original cardboard box on my night table.
