I would bet that 98% of everyone that's ever learned to play the harmonica learned holding the harmonica in the left hand. This site has a good demonstration of the correct way to hold the harmonica.

: : : there arent numbers on my harp, so should the low notes be by my right hand or left hand?

: : Left hand.

: Hey...what if someone is righthanded? If someone held the harp in their right hand would the low notes be towrds the right or left hand. It's far to ackward for me to learn to play righthand held harp. Well...Sonny Terry was able to play diatonic harp in either hand so did he have low notes toward his right hand when playing with his right hand? Or were they towards his left hand?? Is their such a thing as a righthanded harp? Is there anyone who plays harp in their right hand???
