You may be bending the note but not much - try standing next to a piano (knowing what notes you are playing on which hole and what they bend to) and try your bends compared to the piano: you will hear it if it bends. Play around with this and remember not to try too hard: bending is similar to changing pitch when you whistle. After a while you will know the position of your mouth and throat for each note.
