The note layout of the two harps are different. The melody maker gives you a full scale. Lee O also sells Natural Minor and Harmonic Minor Harps. I dont play these, I feel challenged enough playing a diatonic. About the reed plates on the Pro, that has always been one of the things Ive hated about some of the Hohner models. I dont like the feel of metal in my mouth. The Marine Band is guilty of that also. A fellow in Ohio has a business making custom Marine Bands using plastic bodies that have the reed plates shaved back like a special 20 there called Dude Harps $50 each.I guess Hohner has always made these harps that way and thats that.
