   Can anyone tell me what key and how to play the harmonica part in steves Last Ramble??

   I think he's playing in the key of A in first position on a A harp in this youtube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hAHxC69O6dY

(I was shocked that that was Steve Earle - is music a gateway drug??)

I think you may be correct about the A in the video. On the CD, I am pretty sure he is playing a D in first position. The video clip is lower than the riff on the CD.
