Does anyone have a song key or tabs for J. Geils' "House Party?"

I don't have the tab, but if you find a sound file for it at Amazon.com or barnesandnoble.com, paste the link here, and I'll tell you the key of the harmonica used. Having the correct key harmonica always makes a huge difference when working out your own tabs.

Play on,
Dave G

Thanks, Dave. I figured it out ("A" diatonic, band is in "E").

Now i just have to figure out how he gets so much music out of the lower range of the harp. Gues they don't call him "Magic" for nothing.

No magic there or weird tunings or strange studio tricks, he's just a very good player. All the playing techniques he used until about 1980 are covered on the site. After that, he did start to experiment with some altered tuned diatonics (but still used standard playing techniques).

Play on,
