I am sure you've atleast heard of this harp around. Rather expensive I'd say though. What is your take on it. Dave?

When in doubt, bust out and play.

Joe,

I've never tried one, but I'm guessing they play nicely. The problem I've found with making Marine Bands really air tight is that they sound and play great for a while, but that airtightness also means more stress on the reeds so they tend to wear out much quicker.

If the price is not an issue, you should try a couple and see for yourself (one is never a good test -- I typically test new harmonicas with a few in the key of "C"). Keep in mind, the density of the comb material determines the tone, so usually metal combs are a bit brighter that plastic or wood combs. I like metal combs for low keys like "G"s and wood combs for higher keys like "F"s to warm them up a bit.

I was thinking the same. Better to have a harp that places "good enough" and last you a while not to mention keep your wallet fat than a super harmonica that you will have to replace much sooner and no money to do so.

When in doubt, bust out and play.
