"is this cross harp or stright"

i have been working on Bad moon rising. the .mid file i have is in the key of G.

the tab i have been working with is

5 5 4 -4 -4 4 5 4
I see the bad moon ris-in.

5 5 -4 4 5 4 4
I see trou-ble on the way

5 5 -4 -4 4 5 4
I see earth-quakes and light-nin'

5 5 -4 5 4 4
I see bad times to-day

in a stright C harp this song starts in E, in a G harp it starts in B. so is this a 2nd positon tab song on a G or a C harp?

thanks tm

This is a first position (straight harp) tab since it uses 4 blow as its note of resolution. If you wanted to play "Bad Moon Rising" in 2nd position (cross harp), you would use 2 draw as your note of resolution and it would look something like this:
-3 -3 3 -3bb -3bb 3 -3 -2.

Harp on,
Bob
