They are part of the original Tombo design. My understanding is that the hole(s) are there so that you can wear the harmonica on a necklace, and take it with you every where you go.
: What exactly are the top holes on some diatonic harps for? I'm talking about the ones which you can see in this website's logo for example. I have those on my Lee Oskar(G) diatonic as well. I've checked if they can be used to manipulate the sound, but nothing happened so i'm puzzled!
