Most harp players use a combination of the two styles. I cant think of any harp player that just uses the pursed lip method, OK maybe Bob Dylan. Tounge blocking is a very useful tool and adds color to the music. I love to hear and use octaves. I find it very hard to bend notes not using the pursed lip method. Both styles are essential IMHO..
