I've had a couple of lessons. Mostly taught myself with playing along to CD's. I'm not excellent but have potential. People say I song great but I'm my own worst critic. I think I know what I do wrong and unless you play harp you probably won't hear it.
The best experince for me is playing along with a guitarist(s). You'd be surprised at what you can make up or "suddenly realize" about a song once you are the one that has to play it. try to get with others or go to open mic nites.

: It seems like everyone I talk to (not on the boards per say, but in *real life*) :) has learned to play "on their back porch."
: I've found one guy in my whole city who is a harmonica instructor. Is it worth the lessons or does whatever "soul" you may have take over once you've gotten the basics down well enough?
: Thanks
