Belle, I also have Jerry Portnoys Master Class and it is excellent, however I would recommend first getting Mel Bays Complete Classic Chicago Blues Harp. The reasons, 1. The book offers a lot of visual help along with the CD. 2. It offers chapter reviews so you can track your progress. 3. There are many exercises to play along with, you can listen to them and improve your skills. 4. It goes indepth into bends & overblows with a lot of useful diagrams. 5. It can be used as a reference book and the cost is half the J.P. course. With the CD this course is a great value. 6. It can be purchased thru this web site. IMHO Jerry Portnoys Master Class will be more helpful to you if you finish this course first. Good Luck..Bluz aka Darol
