Has anyone out there played the new Hohner XB-40 diatonic? I would like to hear from other users before popping the 70+ bucks to get one.

Hi guys,
I was going to buy an XB40 online but maybe you can clear something up for me.
Are they labeled in first or second position? I have heard it suggested that they may be labeled like the lee oskar melody makers

Seamus,

I have one in the key of "G" and it is indeed listed in 1st Position. I think the "G" is a very good key to get. It is much louder than any normal "G" diatonic. It is worth getting at least one of these to futz with and see if it works for you. I'm too old-school to spend much time with it, but I'm sure within 5 years or so you will hear some very cool stuff done with one of these things. I greatly prefer this design and technical concept to the school of overblows and overdraws.

Link to buy (although everyone is still having a hard time keeping them in stock)-

Good to see you in the forums,

That photo looks accurate except for the admission of the "C" bend available by bending hole 1 draw down a whole-step.
